Sleeve Coupling

N. Sguassero manufactures some type of joints that may be installed easily without the aid of specialized personnel and without using any kind of "glue/adhesive" component.

One of these joints is the “SLEEVE COUPLING” used in industry, in civil works, on board of ships and on every pipeline where it is required to:

absorb thermal expansions;
absorb misalignments;
absorb eventual pipeline movements;
absorb eventual vibration thanks to the O-Ring gaskets;
allow eventual adjustments (within the limits of the indicated "gaps");
allow to dismantle a section of the pipeline without the need to dismantling the complete line;
substitute the traditional mechanical couplings (Helden, Straub, Reka or similar) in order to obtain an homogeneous pipeline in respect of materials and corrosion resistance.

The "SLEEVE" coupling has two O-Rings at each end and when fitted to the pipe is retained using a Nylon 66 keylock. The O-Rings are manufactured from materials that will be suitable for the medium being conveyed and in the appropriate dimensions and Shore hardness values.

This type of joint can be supplied with locking devices that simultaneously guarantee the possibility to absorb thermal expansions and allow a minimum degree of deflection.
